Having a working Logitech MX5000 driver might solve this (though Mojave might not work with a legacy driver). If I were to guess, my mac didn't correctly identify my keyboard when I added it, and the numpad is incorrectly mapped. I tried to find the keyboard on Logitech's driver download page but the MX keyboard listed I think is a completely different device than what I have- I don't know if there is a legacy driver that would work with Mojave? I currently can't program any of my hotkeys at the top of the keyboard either :| but I wasn't worried about that so much as making the numpad functional, as it's currently exiting me from every file save until I make a conscious effort to fight muscle memory and use the numbers at the top of the keyboard. I installed the Logitech driver with my M705 mouse which works for the mouse, but the driver doesn't even see the keyboard. Sometimes it will show a unicode box on either side of the number I pressed, or multiple 9's with the number I pressed while making syserror noises. (I do this nearly every file save, incrementing from image_01.jpg to image_02.jpg etc).

If I go into Photoshop and try to save my file, if I use the numpad when typing the new file name it will make the system error sound and cancel the save. It has the numpad the mac keyboard doesn't (which many programs like Blender 3D need as hotkeys as they perform different functions from the numbers at the top of the keyboard.) I'd rather not waste money on a new mac keyboard if I can get my numpad working on the keyboard I'm comfortable with. My mac work station came with a flat mini keyboard that is difficult to type on, slowed my wpm to a crawl, and also hurts my wrists to type at that angle for long periods of time- so I brought in my bluetooth mechanical keyboard from home. I'm use to using a mechanical keyboard, and I can type 80 wpm while looking at something else. Why I'm using a PC keyboard on a mac: At work I have to use a mac.
